Secret lake, 2025, watercolour on paper

£450.00

A soft pink/red watercolour painting of two figures in a body of water, inspired by infrared photography and ongoing research I do into tonal ranges and the light spectrum, through painting, drawing, printmaking and photography. Understanding light, gives us power as artists to be able to see things others miss, including the wide variety of colours out there not visible to the human eye. By utilising technology, such as cameras with special lens filters which block out everything but infrared, we are able to see the world differently. My ongoing research is sometimes talked about on my Journal, and I also like to do workshops which engage the public with this research too, please find these on my events page.

This painting is on acid free paper and measures approx: 23cm x 30cm.
