Cyanotype Workshop at Ilkon Contemporary Arts

On Saturday I led a workshop making cyanotypes at Ilkon Contemporary Arts, Ilkeston. We had a good turn out, over a dozen people learnt how to create cyanotypes and got a go at using my exposure unit I built using an old school desk and a UV floodlight. We used some old picture frames as contact printing frames to keep our objects and negatives in place whilst exposing.

I really enjoyed sharing my knowledge on artistic processes, it helps me to learn more about these processes too as I bounce ideas around with the groups. A big thank you to all that attended, to the lovely staff at Ilkon and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

I will likely be back in Ilkeston for more workshops in the future, to find out more about the workshops and exhibitions going on at Ilkon please go to their website here: https://www.ilkonarts.com/
