Cyanotype Micrographs with AEP Students @ East Carlton Country Park

Earlier this month I introduced students I work with on a regular basis through my work as an education coordinator for Fermynwoods Contemporary Arts to an alternative photographic process called ‘cyanotype’ merged with another photographic technique that uses digital microscopes to create micrographs.

We mixed the chemistry, coated watercolour paper, foraged materials from the park, used digital microscopes to take pictures of these objects (micrographs) and then used open source editing software to create digital negatives of those micrographs we then printed onto transparent paper to contact print on to the photosensitive paper made at the start of the session.

Here are some photos from that session!
